Fare Disclosure

Exactly how your price is built, who charges each part, and when it becomes final.

Last updated: January 1, 2026

1. How your price is structured

Your total cost is made up of two separately charged parts:

  • Airline fare — the carrier's base fare plus mandatory taxes, government charges, and any airline-imposed surcharges. This amount is charged to you by the airline's ticketing system through our ticketing partner. It does not run through our merchant account.
  • AirfareHub service fee — our fee for quoting, coordinating, and supporting your booking. This is the only amount charged by us, and it appears on your statement as "AIRFAREHUB SERVICE FEE."

Your total = airline fare (charged by the airline's system via our partner) + our service fee (charged by us), and you authorize both exact amounts in writing before any charge is made.

2. What the airline fare includes — and what it doesn't

The airline fare includes the base fare and mandatory taxes and fees. It typically does not include optional extras, which the airline charges separately, such as:

  • Checked or excess baggage
  • Advance seat selection or upgrades
  • In-flight food, Wi-Fi, and other onboard services

These optional charges are set and collected by the airline and are outside our control.

3. Currency

Unless stated otherwise, amounts are quoted in U.S. Dollars (USD). If your card settles in another currency, your bank may apply conversion or foreign-transaction fees that we do not control.

4. When the fare becomes final

Fares change until a ticket is issued. The fare in your quote is confirmed only when you authorize the charges and the ticket is issued. If the fare changes during this process, we will notify you and ask you to confirm the new amount before proceeding.

5. Pricing errors

If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may correct it or contact you to confirm the corrected amount before any ticket is issued. We will not charge you more than the amount you authorized.

6. Service fee disclosure

Our service fee is always disclosed to you in your quote, before payment, as a distinct line separate from the airline fare. See our Payment Policy and Taxes & Fees for more.

Note: This disclosure is an accurate working draft and should be reviewed by a licensed attorney before going live.
