Refund & Cancellation Policy

Two charges, two sets of rules. This explains how cancellations and refunds work for each.

Last updated: January 1, 2026

1. The two parts of your payment

Because we operate a service-fee-only model, your trip involves two separate charges, each with its own refund rules:

  • Our AirfareHub service fee — charged by us; refundable as described below.
  • The airline fare — charged by the airline's ticketing system through our ticketing partner; refundable only as the airline's fare rules allow.

2. Our service fee

  • If you cancel before your charges are authorized, nothing has been charged and nothing is owed.
  • If you cancel after authorization but before the ticket is issued, your service fee is refundable in full.
  • Once the ticket has been issued, the service fee covers work already performed and is non-refundable, except where the airline issues an involuntary full refund (for example, an airline-initiated cancellation), in which case we refund our service fee as well.

3. The airline fare

Refunds of the airline fare are determined entirely by the airline's fare rules for the ticket you purchased. Tickets may be fully refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable, and airlines may charge change or cancellation fees. Where the airline approves a refund, we pass that refund through to you using your original payment method.

4. How to request a cancellation or change

Email support@airfare-hub.com or call +1 (844) 442-0202 during support hours (Mon–Sun, 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM ET). Please include:

  • Passenger name(s)
  • Booking reference or ticket number
  • The email used to request your quote
  • What you would like to change or cancel

5. Refund processing time

Service-fee refunds we issue are typically returned to your original payment method within a few business days. Airline fare refunds are released only after the airline approves them and usually take 7–14 business days (sometimes longer), depending on the airline and your bank.

6. No-shows and partially used tickets

If you do not travel without first cancelling, the airline's no-show rules apply and the ticket value may be forfeited. For partially used tickets, any refundable amount is calculated by the airline based on the unused portion.

7. Airline-initiated changes

If the airline cancels or significantly reschedules your flight, you may be entitled to a refund or rebooking under the airline's policy. We will help you pursue the remedy the airline offers and, in the case of an involuntary full refund, refund our service fee as well.
